PROFILE IN COURAGE – U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest
In a rebuke to The Obama Administration and the dark forces in this country that wish to further erode the constitutional rights of American citizens, U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest issued an order that blocks enforcement of a controversial provision of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
A group of reporters sued President Barack Obama, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and The Defense Department over a provision in the NDAA that would have allowed for potential indefinite incarceration by the military of journalist exercising their First Amendment right to report the news and the detention of activist who may be participating in protest against the government.
It is interesting that Judge Forrest was appointed last year to the bench by President Obama. In this writer’s opinion, Barack Obama did something very rare…made a wise choice!
We here at BlackFlagMedia.com salute Judge Forrest for her strength of character and her defense of First Amendment rights on behalf of the American people.

PUBLIC EYE ON POLITICS – Texas Senate District 5 Race – Disclosure
Up until now, this blog has reported the public activity of the campaign between Charles Schwertner and Ben Bius. However, the reporting from here takes on a more investigative flavor.
However, before that phase of our coverage of the race for Texas SD-5 begins, I need to make a disclosure. At the beginning of his 2012 campaign effort, I had a meeting with Ben Bius in regards to assisting him on running his campaign for Tx. SD-5. After a substantive give and take meeting, I elected not to pursue that opportunity because I didn’t agree with Mr. Bius’ philosophy regarding campaign strategies and that in my opinion, he would be another “business as usual” candidate for The Republican Party.
Now that I have that disclosure out of the way, we at BlackFlagMedia.com are putting together an in-depth look at both the Bius & Schwertner campaigns.
